I put my husband on a plane yesterday and cried. Did I cry last time?

I think I did. I AM WEEPY! I just didn't want him to go.

But it is a small detail in the States, and he will be back soon.

I wish every-last-fiber-of-my-being wasn't always PRACTICAL.

I might enjoy life a little more, if I didn't constantly have my butt-cheeks tightened together.

We had a great time Sunday at "We love you Jo & Francis Day"!

I think next year I will recruit some more help to decorate. . . I had

a sweet friend with me, and she was a God-Send, but WE WERE POOPED.

I think they thoroughly enjoyed their special day! Jo kept crying, she felt

so loved and important. Mission Accomplished.

These two ladies make my life much easier. They are clean freaks, and so am

I. . . I just don't have the time and they do! Wonderful!

If the Good Lord decides to leave me here another year I think I will

make this An Annual Gig.

It was fun!

Hello, how are you today? I am pausing between pecks today trying to decide how "blah"

I want to be with you! Nobody likes a "Debbie Downer". . . but I just feel kinda' blah. And

I know I hear an "AMEN!" because I know many of my friends have been experiencing the same

"blah-ness" whether it be due to health, their families health, work, kids, etc.

So how about a toast to TGIF tomorrow? Cheers!!! (With Sweet Tea of Course)

I found the Greatest Green Balls this week.

Score.

I didn't know what to do with them, so for now they will be jarred up.

This candle warms my heart.

It smells of something amazing cooking in the kitchen. . .

(even though there isn't)

After this week Remy will no longer hop in the back of the police car.

It does make me emotional (I know it sounds weird to most), and it

really has made The Mr. emotional (although he hasn't let it show to me much).

When he was promoted his roles changed and he isn't able to be a handler anymore (I am guessing that is why. . . lol . . I get very little out of him concerning his job. . .or any other nook and cranny of his thoughts for that matter). But the dog is in the backyard, so I know something is up! He will remain

with us (many complicated reasons he cant go to another handler etc), and Pippin will be the

new K-9 officer. I am happy for him and anxious to meet his new dog from Von Klien Stein. Having a working dog is really a neat experience for your family. They are a huge responsibility and much work, but they are the most loyal and amazingly obedient dogs on the planet.

I am proud of The Mr. he makes me CrAzY, but he is a good-good man. I feel a prayer coming on. . .

As husband and wife we don't want to be taking separate roads. We want to be on the same path together. We want to be deeply compatible, lifelong companions, and have the love that lasts a lifetime. Prayer, as the ultimate love language, can make that happen.

There are times when we are just to listen and not offer advice, to support and not offer constructive criticism. If you do have to say words that are hard to hear, ask God to help you discern when your husband would be most open to hearing them. Pray for the right words and for his heart to be totally receptive.

Its baseball sign-up time and Buddy couldn't be more excited. But Clayton is undecided. . . leaning more towards "no" than "yes". Where is the parenting manual that I received when I left the hospital? Oh, that's right,I didn't get one! Should I push? Should I not push? Should I sign him up, not tell him, and spring it on him first practice day? Who knows? I have this image of him on the bleachers at Buddy's 2nd or 3rd game saying, "I wish I would've played." And then. . . my heart will start pumping fast, my blood will slowly start to simmer until it comes to a full blown boil, and then. . . my head will spin around. . . all while sipping a Cherry ICEE.

We'll see. Isnt life full of twist and turns?

{A Mummy for The Mr.}

Well, I had my first procedure done on the upper left 1/2 of my leg.

The procedure itself wasn't so bad. . . it was the numbing with shots from

the groin to the knee that was killer.

As you can see I am back to work today! I am wrapped up like a mummy, but

I am being productive!

I go in the morning for my first ultrasound since the surgery.

And I gear up for the bottom left on March 1st.

Today is The Mr's Birthday. . . Happy Birthday to Him. . . he got a mummy patient.

Thought I would share some good stuff I read today. . .

Becoming an Everyday Missionary at Home

I cooked this dinner. Why is it that I have to clean it up, too? I grumbled to myself as I rinsed chicken bits and peas down the disposal. I turned to grab the pan from the stove and rammed my shin into the dishwasher.

“OUCH!” I yelled, but there was no one to hear me. My husband and children were playing tag in the backyard in the early evening sun. Every so often I’d hear the squeals of my daughter over the running water at the sink.

I sighed and tried to keep my attitude in check. You told them to go on out, I told myself. But part of me wanted them to decline the offer and insist on helping with the dishes.

“What if this were a homeless shelter and you were washing the dishes there after you’d already cooked the dinner? Would you complain then?”

I knew immediately the Holy Spirit’s voice inside my head and stood still at the sink, the garbage disposal gargling in front of me. Would I? I wondered. No. I wouldn’t. I wouldn’t complain if I were doing the dishes at a shelter. Not only would I not complain; I’d be doing them with a happy heart. I love ministry.

“Guess what, Carol? This family is your ministry – the ministry I have specifically given to you.”

It was a light bulb moment. Aha! Eureka! My family was my ministry. I needed to serve them with the same joy I served the men at the prison or at the food pantry. But, I’d been treating them like a cumbersome part of my life that I needed to tolerate in order to get to real ministry.

I wanted to rush outside to join in the game of tag, to kick up my heels and say, “I love you! I will serve you!” Instead, I walked over to the table and put the butter and ketchup away. But as I neared the window, I looked at those precious people the Lord entrusted to me and with a happy heart, I whispered, “I love you. I will serve you.”

I am planning a special day for these two! They have served over 35 years in our

nursery between the two of them! That is faithful!

I said "Good-bye" to my "Baby Sister" this morning. . . and it was hard.

I cried. and. cried more.

Bless her heart, she has been through so much, and I couldn't be more proud of her.

They found an apartment in Midland, TX and their U-haul is all loaded up.

I passed them as they were going out of town and then I sobbed uncontrollably.

All I could see was Richards hand in the windshield waving as big as he

could. . .oh my heart just ached.

I know they have to make their way in this ole' world, and one must go where the work is.

So, I wish them the best.

Keep them in your prayers. . . would you mind?

My Little Sister is MARRIED!

And this post should be all about her. . .

but I think I will have to do another one just for her! Because this has to be about ME!

Over the holidays The Mr. and I attended several parties. 2 of which. . . I haven't forgotten.

Although, the party I will be referring to tonight was just a "Girl Party"

( I probably wont ever share about the other one unless it is a rainy day and I just want to be depressed).

I know we all know what "vibe" is. . . and this party had some sort of vibe. . . I couldn't

put my finger on it. It was. . . odd. . . uncomfortable. . . different.

I know without a doubt that 5 of the girls there would definitely call 911 if my

house was a' blaze. . . but the others. . . not so sure. You see. . . I need to know those things.

I need to know. If I am going to put myself out there. . . I will know.

(I am certain this is soundin' strange, so I will move on. . . )

Needless to say, I left that night questioning myself.

I left that night feeling. . . sad.

Where do I fit in?

(Knowing that there are certain places and times I don't want to "fit-in")

(Square peg, round hole. . . fine with me)

Who am I anyways?

Is there something wrong with me?

What do I stand for?

and

What is unacceptable?

and

What do I know for sure?

Who even liked me in that room?

Did I miss something?

Almost 2 months later, I still have some lingering questions, but I am feeling more confident. . .

I am a constant. I am the same regardless of whom I am around. I am not a facade.

now

I make mistakes. I do complete IDIOT things. Everyday.

but

I am real.

And. . .

When I was in a "911 moment" my friends came to my rescue.

I needed them.

And. . . they came.

A friend picked up my kids.

A friend offered to pick up my kids.

I had friends loaning me anything and everything out of there own homes.

I had friends come and decorate, move furniture, and clean.

A friend took pictures.

A friend did hair and make-up.

A friend attended and fluffed a wedding gown.

A friend loaned her very own gown and veil.

I had friends praying for my sister about her schooling and marriage.

And. . .

These were not my sisters friends (although they all have prayed and loved on her).

These are not my moms friends (although who couldn't love my mom?).

They were MY friends.

I just cant express how much I needed people to love and care, but also

know that they do. Do you understand my rambling mess?

Thank you, Lord, for the blessing of your calming reassurance.

Thank you.

For as long as God allows me to live, I want a life full of loving, real friendships.

I hope and pray I can be the friend that my friends are to me. . .

I have been wanting to rid my bedroom of the "Satan Satin Spread" for quite some

time now (It is in my garage in a trash bag. . . where it belongs)

Over the holidays I scored a few pieces here and there.

I have come to the conclusion that it is going to be a work in progress.

A person must wait for the proper pillow and pounce when spotted.

I was a little caught off guard when

The Mr. came home and said,

"Oh, by the way, I signed us up for that play". . .and I am

so glad he did!

No doubt it was a huge commitment, but it was

such a blessing! I loved being around all the cast, and

once I got over my stage fright and purple dress (that I looked like Barney in)

I enjoyed it so much!

Sweet Jessica and Jennifer curled Lily's hair.

This was right up her alley!

She loved having big fluffy curls and wearing make-up.

It is hard to tell what any of them are thinking in

the above photo, but the kids loved being apart too.

It was drill weekend so I didn't get any pictures of The Mr.

He would fly in and do his "part" and zoom back off. . .very busy man, ya know?

But he looked very swell.

We would love to do something like this again.

It is a great opportunity!

I hope the community enjoyed it, and

of course the most important

part and the real reason was having an opportunity to

present The Gospel.

Back to school we all went this morning.

Lily and Buddy didn't complain, but Clayton didn't want to go.

I know they are wearing down. . . gearing up for summer!

I am already making summer plans. . .well. . . dreaming of summer plans.

I better keep my winter coat on for a bit longer.

These two Sweets had a great time over the holiday.

Miss Mac gave me some insight on Miss Lily's reading. . . not.so.good.

Soooo, we have had to re-vamp a tad and I will share more on that later.

Apparently we like to try to test on books we haven't read.

The end result hasn't worked out so well for her.

We caught a movie over break and was able to spend time with

Miss Kate, Lily's friend since the diaper days.

I always love and am thankful for a new year. I love that "clean slate" feeling.

I thought I would touch on CHANGE since it is "ringing" true to me. . . .

and we left with braces!

She was so excited!

Football Season ended....some time ago....but I didn't share much about our

season or end-of-year party. We had a good season. We didn't win any games but

Clayton learned alot and made some new friends.

At their party Clayton was named MVP for the season, and

they gave him the team ball. Really neat.

The Williams Boys have been eating with us on Wednesday Evenings and

we have enjoyed their company so much.

Much is about to change for

our Middle School Students at church as we change leadership.

I am excited to see how God continues to work in our young peoples lives.

I mean I am not having a kidney removed, but I am a tad anxious now.

I was loving life when The Mr. asked me if I wanted HIM to put up the

I am praying about doing an after school Bible Study/Memorization Group for Clayton's friends. They are challenged to memorize Psalm 119 (I think?) and I just would love to be apart of helping those boys learn and grow. I feel like if I am asking my kids to do such a large task (defiantly worth it, but no doubt hard), I should be willing to do the same (or at least try). Although, my memory is tanked.
I am excited about my little ones "Feast" tomorrow. I am going to bring Green Beans and Mac-N-Cheese to those sweet Kindergartners.
The gym I go to has new owners and they went right to work on repairs and such, so I am excited to see how that turns out.
I am working today and must get busy, but more talk later. . .

Yes! Its true. . . God is omnipresent. He is everywhere at all times.

How, biblically, should we think of God's omnipresence? The word means that God knows exhaustively, and upholds and touches continually, every single item in the universe he has made, from the tiniest genes and electrons to the most massive stars in the expanding universe to the most complex mind-body interactions in the psyche of over 6 billion people. God is here, there, and everywhere, and his mind and hand are on everything. We are never out of his sight (Psalm 139), and we cannot get away from him (John 1). Wherever we are, he is there too. This is not simply a matter of transcending spatial confines. Strictly speaking, God has no spatial location at all, for space belongs to the created order and exists in him rather than he in it. Such is the omnipresence of God.

That is amazing!! We worship an amazing God!!!!

Satan cannot know our thoughts, but can hear what we say. BUT he cant be everyone at once! Although he does have demons. . . but that is heavy stuff and I am no BIBLE scholar. . .

Satan tempts many people simultaneously—does that mean he is omnipresent? No. Omnipresence, as we saw, is unique to the Creator. Satan comes and goes (Matthew 4:3, 11; Job 1:7–12).

But don’t worry about that!A lady once said to me, “We whisper,” because she was afraid of demons hearing her prayers. My response was, “Well, that’s foolish!”You can go boldly before the throne of grace. In the Old Testament, it doesn’t say, “And David whispered to the Lord;” it says, “And David said unto the Lord”—and out it came. You never hear any time in the apostle Paul’s instruction to us about prayer when he says, “Don’t talk out loud.” When he wanted to pray, he just flat out prayed and it didn’t bother him whether Satan heard it because he was living in such a way that Satan couldn’t do anything about it anyway. We have peace knowing we belong to God. He is ours and we our his! So GET BEHIND US SATAN!

I love love patriotic songs.

I love love children singing.

The song, "This is America! A-m-m-meeeric-a!" always brings tears to my eyes. . .Lord have mercy.

But the part about "brave", "free", "liberty". . . such wonderful words and things. . .

that didn't come free, but are because of sacrifice.

We are always dancing and doing some sort of doodle.

Clayton has been my little socialite for years, but I am thankful Lily

has made some sweet, sweet friends too.

Eek! Boo! I love Halloween! So much fun to be had!

Perhaps its because the past few years we have went to "MAWS" (aka Every ones Grandma -no real relation or The Grandma Covet. . .either one), we look forward to a good visit and good eats.

It really is the largest spread of food next to the Golden Corral.

It is wonderful! The Mr. looks forward to it every year.

She is so gracious to invite us!

After full bellies we head off to TRICK-R-TREAT.

The past couple of years we have gone to Forest Hills, but it

was so crowded last year so we ventured off in . . . our own neighborhood! Who woulda' thought?

It was really fun!

The Grand Finale was stopping at Dr Whites (for various reasons. wink, wink! R. Grigg), Lily

said he gave the "best" and "most" candy. Cute.

Last Saturday the City of Greenwood came together as our mayor

swore in our new police chief.

Look at this line of men. . .

Each man has a family.

Each man has goals.

Each man has an opinion.

Each man has much responsibility.

Each man carries a burden and some sort of hardship.

Some are older, but some very young.

I have been so heavily burdened by The Mr's job for the past 6 months.

It is no secret the past police chief did not care for me, and after much thought and consideration I

honestly believe it was because of my faith and convictions. Even though it hurt and was really hard

God prepared me in advance for times as such.

"If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.

—John 15:18-20

But the Lord is with me as a dread warrior;

therefore my persecutors will stumble;

they will not overcome me.

They will be greatly shamed,

for they will not succeed.

Their eternal dishonor

will never be forgotten.

A warrior.

That is my hearts desire.

I don't want to fit in.

I don't mind.

It's okay.

It really is.

My precious friend Jodi Gatson gave me a book of prayers for husbands, and

little does she know I have clung to that book!

I will share a few of these prayers with you. . .

Lord, I know that humility must come before honor (Proverbs 15:33). Take away all pride that would cause my husband to deny his faults and work into his soul a humility of heart so that he will receive the honor You have for him.

(You know PRIDE is our ENEMY, right?)

Lord, help my husband to release the past so that he will not live in it, but learn from it, break out of it, and move into the future You have for him.

Lord, help my husband to be anxious for nothing, but give thanks in all things so he can know the peace that passes all understanding. May he come to the point of saying, "I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content" (Philippians 4:11).

Oh my, those are wonderful words to lift up for your husband.

With all that said. . whew!. . .I am ready for new beginnings and support Mr. Will Dawson.

I will be praying for him, for the task before him is large.

The ceremony was lovely. Coach Jones spoke and he is just the most likable guy.

I attended my very first WorldCrafts Party yesterday.

Wow! Women are really amazing! Really. God designed us to be and do amazing things.

Much to share about, but

really to get to the heart-of-the-matter is simple.

I think like a Mom (because I am a Mom. . .geeze. . .), but knowing what

it feels like to meet the needs of my children. . .

And then to imagine a Mom. . . who simply cant.

She has no money.

I hear a child saying, "I'm hungry." or just. . . crying.

These women are willing to do anything to survive. . .

by purchasing their lovely creations that "anything" doesn't have to be a horrible way.

The idea of living in the moment is not just a left-over philosophy from the 60's. Our ability to be stay in the moment is being eroded by many factors. And yet, we are called to connect with people. As leaders. Parents. Spouses. Congregants.

In this day of distraction, being fully present is often a challenge. It is also a gift. When we choose to stay in the moment with someone we are telling them we value them over our: agendas, to-do lists, Twitter streams, TV shows, work or worries, or whatever else may be on our mind in any given moment.

Choosing to be fully present means we not only listen but we connect. We lower our walls and allow our hearts and minds to fully engage. It’s tough at times. It’s often easier to allow our minds to wander. To keep our emotions in check and not allow ourselves to feel with another…to truly see and hear them. I think this is what “love in action” really looks like.

I can choose to serve you…by choosing to be in this moment with you.

I recently found a new way I could get my "antique fix".

I have known about the auctions in Jennylind for years, but

I had never been.

All things were swell and

lovely.

I love this bench and

basket.

I am continuing my purge. This week I took our trashcans and pulled

them up to do front door. If it wasn't something we needed or could be passed

along I simply opened the door and chucked it.

Bed is . . .FOR SALE, but I am in the market for

a full size mattress and box springs. . .2 box springs actually.

I am not opposed to very gently used. . .and no booty cooties.

So keep your eyes peeled for me!

I am a tad behind in sharing our happenings around here (and trust me I am leaving out alot. . .). . .

I took my little Lily to the doctor because she has a lump on the back of her head. Mystery lump. So we have been taking antibiotics in hopes of clearing that up. It has gotten smaller so that is a blessing. We also learned how to swallow pills, so that is a plus.

Last night was Clayton's PTO program. It was almost weird how excited he was. . .totally different kid from last year. He didn't mind going. I think he was actually looking forward to it. He had a speaking part, and didn't mind singing. Of course I love to hear children sing. I think its angelic. I would love for children to sing at my funeral. . . have I mentioned that before?

It has been so neat to see everyone getting "BOOED"!

Who knew? I was BOOED a few nights ago so I have some BOOING to

do this weekend!

Here we are back at the doctor and Sis spotted The Skeleton.

Football is going good.

We haven't won any games (I don't think. . .I tend to not pay attention, ya know?), but

I think some of the coaches did the most important thing they could have done all season Wednesday night.

A bunch of the boys loaded up to go see the Heaven or Hell drama at "Exciting ET". It

was really good. I had never been, and I think it was most excellent.

So the Good News was shared!

Now that's a WINNING TOUCHDOWN!

My car battery isn't liking this colder weather at all. . .and

as you can see The Police has had to come and help me out a few times lately.

So if you seen my car at McD's the other day. . . all day. . . I didn't eat breakfast lunch and dinner.

It was just my car.

No Tonia body.

I am going to get a new battery this weekend.

Although I do like seeing my husband during the day.

But he will appreciate me getting it taken care of.

Wednesday I traveled to Hot Springs with my Sweet Friend Mandi. She

treated me to the most lovely meal. I cleaned my plate AND ordered dessert.

We had a good time and I talked. . . and talked. . . and talked.

Bless her heart I bet she still has a headache.

I like being with adults.

Its a nice change of pace from 3rd grade MATH. Blah.

My kiddos have had the best time with "spirit week"!

Mismatched clothes day was their favorite!!!

I am still purging and rearranging my house.

I have been cleaning out closets and. . . going crazy!!

I need space.

I need air.

The Freedom Shell Tote

Six thousand prostitutes crowded north Calcutta, India, presenting their bodies to the passersby on the streets in hopes that the degrading and dangerous work would earn them some income to live. Even though they didn’t want to sell their bodies, they knew it was their only way to pay for their next meal—until now. Today, each of the women who works with Freeset is set free: she can make and sell various tote bags through the artisan group, guaranteeing an income in an understanding community and gaining the freedom to keep her body to herself.

The Thyolo papermaking and craft shop provides work for young artisans who have lost their parents to the AIDS pandemic and who now have few other income options. The shop is diligent in using all-natural, sustainable materials to make its crafts. Artisans use proceeds from their work to finish school, to send their children to school, and even to contribute to others in need, including the elderly, widows, and AIDS patients in their communities. The artisans also donate their time to teach art to children in local schools, again using renewable materials.

We are going to have a WorldCrafts Party at our church in November. If you are in the area you should come! It is a wonderful opportunity to help other women and families around the world!

Last night Lily came to me with big tears in her eyes. . .I must confess at first I was thinking "playground drama". . .oh dear. But it wasn't "drama" it was an opportunity to teach.

Today at school Lily will have to make a choice.

#1 She will have to keep a promise and get left behind.

#2 Go with the others and be a dishonest friend.

I talked to her about doing the right thing. . . even when it hurts. . .even when its hard.

I told her it would be better to be honest and alone, that to be dishonest in a crowd.

She told me yesterday that she heard Jesus talking to her about it, "and it wouldn't go away".

"Sis, that is the Holy Spirit alive and well inside of you, and the best choice you can make is to listen and be obedient." I said.

I am so anxious to pick her up today, and my hopes are high she has made a choice that will please the Lord.

I have been meaning to share our "Fair Fish that Refuses to Die", and I think this fish is

a perfect example of how Lily might feel today. Alone.

But I hope she knows Jesus is standing right beside her holding her hand.

Sometimes your heart breaks for your kids. . .you know that feeling when the tears well up in your eyes??

The Mr and I had such a good day! We kinda' needed it. . .

I don't know if he has been over-tired or stressed, but something. . .

I wanted to go to the Speck-O-Farm to make sure the gates were closed (deer hunters),

and after we did that we decided to drive to Blue Mountain. Since Brad isn't from

here he doesn't know about all the lovely water holes on this side of AR.

(He isnt real impressed with our local spots since he came from lake heaven).

We ended up at Mt Magazine Lodge.

(What a smile!)

We loved it!

We ate lunch at the restaurant.

We were seated at the most perfect little

table for two in the corner.

{The Mail Toss Up}

Well, my support hose arrived today. . .Its a toss up. . . I cant decide if its a

"Good Mail Day" or not?

I am thinking more no than yes.

I was able to take my kids to school the morning we left on our staff retreat.

Lily couldn't find her shoes, so I took care of that before I left.

I went in Clayton's room to pick up wet towels and turn off the lights

(yes, I am trying to raise responsible adults)

and I noticed his i-pod missing. . . so I left him a note questioning that. . .

And last but not least, Buddy. I wasn't able to attend his breakfast celebration,

but I let him know I was so proud.

We left around 10, and had a wonderful time!

Isn't the office lovely?

I thought it was sweet.

Tom handled all the particulars.

Jacque and I shared a "cabin".

It was just as lovely as the office. . . a tad damp feeling and smelling, but

lovely still.

I had every intention of leaving to go to gym. home. back to work at 11:30. Well. . . didn't make it. So, now in all my glory I will enter Staff meeting looking all so lovely. Geeze.

But you know what bugs me. . .
When you have your hair up and you have one "tight piece" that pulls. You know what i am talking about? That "tight piece" has given me a headache on top of all my other morning issues.

A rainy day in Florida. . . is still a day in Florida.

Tropical Storm Lee was not too bad, but he took good care of my picture taking!

My sweet husband tried to help me make it happen, but it was pretty brutal.

My little camera couldn't take the elements, but my Sweetie Shannon

graciously allowed me to borrow her "Dream Camera", and she is trying

to salvage what we did manage to shoot.

Our room was wonderful this year.

Although, I dont know if I will stay in Destin again.

The weather allowed us to do more exploring (and antiquing), so we ventured further

down 30-A, and I scouted out my next place to set up my beach chair.

Grayton Beach is beautiful.

Seaside was dreamy as ever.

Rosemary makes me speechless.

Alys is amazing.

We didnt soak up much Florida sun, but we still spent our days at the beach.

It was a cozy trip, after the hot miserable summer we had, I really didnt mind the weather.

After beach & shower, I would cozy up in my sweatshirt and we would head out to eat.

We ate at all our favorite fish places, and tried a new restaurant.

This morning I woke up Buddy with much cheer and singing!

Happy Birthday!

After I got everyone off to school, I came home and put some

"Worms" in "Dirt".

It must have looked like "Worms" in "Dirt" because many

of the kids were quite skeptical.

Some too afraid to even try it.

before I entered Fair Civilization.

Before school started I had the opportunity to serve a meal

at the Salvation Army.

I enjoyed working alongside these amazing women who love the Lord.

I am thinkin' A. Hancock might be one of my H-E-R-O-E-S.

She has an amazing testimony and is doing great things for God.

When the song says, "Here am I, send me." she aint just humming along to the beat.

She is on GO. GREENLIGHT.

I asked her how long she has been coming to FBC Greenwood and she said

about 2 years. Man-O-Man. What regret I had. I should've been

soaking up her friendship like a sponge.

She will be leaving for Belize soon.

My Sweetie Sherry. I think the both of us wanted our

kiddos to have an opportunity to wear Jesus skin.

and they all did so great! They were so helpful and kind.

I really pushed Buddy, he was shy and timid at first. I asked him

to give everyone a napkin, and he was very hesitant, but when he ran out he

ran full speed to me to get some more.

I plan on going back soon and I hope to take some families from the nursery and

my Sweetie Shaina.

God is doing great things through the Salvation Army here.

My little Buddy was the first one to hop out of bed this morning. He had his

clothes laid out in perfect form the night before. It was just precious.

After I dropped off the kiddos, I went to the gym.

I found myself just sitting on the edge of the weight bench. . . missing Buddy.

After the gym and a quick shower I headed to Ft Smith to deliver a baby gift.

I swung in Brooken Hill for some coffee, and seen Ronald.

Ronald made me think of who? Yes. Buddy.

Got a pedicure. Soaked my feet as I stared at the

chair Buddy would always sit in while he waited

for me. I wanted to stop in the antique store, but I just couldn't do it.

Buddy and I always talk and talk while we shop.

He would always try on all the hats we would find.

I passed up that torture and headed for the Christian book store.

It should be harmless and I shouldn't see anything that would cause a major melt-down.

I browsed at all the books (one of my most favoritest things to do). I stumbled upon

The Christian Mama's Guide to Having a Baby. Really?

Maybe its about baby care. or baby this. or baby that.

BUT I work in a church nursery and Christian women don't need any instructions on how to have

babies. They do it quite well. I bet lost people think Christians need a book for everything.

We do. . . but its 1 book. . . called The Bible.

I spotted every single mans battle.

Isn't that what our men are doing on Wednesday Nights?

I purchased a GIANT PRINT BIBLE. I adore it.

And since I am blind it is going to make my quiet times much

more effective. I can only squint for so long.

I need to purchase this, and those of you who are in Bible Study with me

know that I cant purchase any more books until I read the 5 I have going.

Per R. Deal. So I will keep this in my memory. Nevermind, I don't have a memory.

So, I guess my attitude will need to improve without reading a book about it.

Well, just when I thought I was safe. . .I heard VeggieTales.

I missed Buddy.

Today was the first day of school.

Lily headed off to 3rd grade.

Clayton to 5th.

Our morning went really well. Clothes ironed. Breakfast served.

They didn't request that I "walk them in" so I just drove through and dropped them off.

As I was going through the line I realized just how

short summer was.

Everyone had a great day.

Lily loves Mrs. Beck

& Clayton feels the same about Mrs. Robbins.

Both of them are showered with friends within their classes.

Learning & Fun! Good combination!

Tonight was the first night of football practice in pads.

Clayton came home extremely frustrated because he doesn't

know all the "plays". He gets so frustrated. And then. . . I get frustrated.

Perhaps tomorrow will be better, and with every practice

things will get easier for him. . .and me.

So here we are today at our private little Hobbs Open House.

Carson emptied all of his supplies and put them away.
