{Good-bye Week}

I am usually a very positive person, but I must confess I am very glad this week is over. I have been very stressed and what my mom would call "high-strung". I have managed to make it to all my obligations for the week, meet all deadlines, and only have one more project to do at church before Sunday. I will accomplish that after sweet Mr. Horton's Memorial. I think if I can really rest & get in my prayer closet I will be ready for Sunday & Monday. I have made no plans for tomorrow because I really need some solitude. I want God remind me once again how much time and effort he put into making us all so different, and that all things work together for the glory of God. . . I know that to be true because that is what the Word says.

{Good-nite Tuesday}

• I picked up kids.
• I played referee on the way home (everybody on edge after school . . .).
• I took sheets out of dryer & put on the bed.
• Tried to clean trash out of the Jeep before it drove itself off.
• I fixed snacks.
• I recycled my pony-tail from this morning. Put hat back on.
• Loaded up kiddos - off to batting cages.
• I held my breath the whole time praying my little ones wouldn't walk on covered pool, or kill themselves on tree house.
• I kicked myself for ordering Clayton's baseball uniform at least 7 times to big. . .I hope we are on the same team with the same number when he is 18.
• I didn't eat cereal . . . visited a local eatery. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. . .
• I gave baths.
• I brushed teeth.
• I led devotion. Our verse, ". . . set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in faith and purity." 1 Timothy 4:12 (good stuff)
• I made a few more phone calls.
• I spoke to Mr. Hobbs (told him I love him & be safe) I tell him to "be safe" alot.
• I sent a text.
• I decided I want that silver vase.
• I repented for saying something ugly & thinking a bad thought (which I may or may not think again tomorrow).
• I am going to do a little more "nursery work", take a bath, blog-surf, and go to bed.
• I am tired.

• I have got alot of work done!
• I had lunch with a friend.
• I went to a couple of stores.
• I made a couple of purchases. (will share later-Mr. Hobbs has my camera)What was I thinking letting him take that for 2 weeks?
• I talked on the phone to a friend.
• I ran home and threw sheets in dryer.
• I loaded the dishwasher.
• I stood back in the bathroom and thought, "Do I need to go back and get that silver vase?"
• I checked the mail.
• I am finishing up my work day!
• I am fixing to pick up my kids.
• I am wondering what kind-of low fat dinner to fix???? Cereal, ugh. Hungry? Yes.

• I have arrived at work.
• I am sure I forgot something.

{A time for sadness}

I haven't shared about my Cousin Kevin or his wife Lori. She has been battling cancer for quite some time, and they called me today and said they didn't feel like she would be here much longer. I hate it so bad for her family and Kevin. She is young. I want to say she is late 30's maybe 40. I will never understand cancer. I do know it has no mercy. It certainly doesn't matter how old you are. I am going to go see them tonight after church around 8 or so. Pray for me that I will have courage and comforting words. But more importantly pray for them. I know she is a Christian, but I am not sure if they have a church family around them at this sad sad time.

{ Pillows 1-2-3}

This is our bedroom. It's still a work in progress. This is the room I am looking for a desk and some side tables. I am not sure if I want them to match/not match. I love the bed, but I just cant get happy with a pillow arrangement. I really cant decide if these are even the right pillows. So I will continue to tweak until I get the right feel.

I put "Big Moss" under a lamp. Lamp light is the best.

{Clean Freak}

I really do enjoy cleaning. Something about is just so nice. . . especially that 1 hour window before it starts getting messy again (do you know what I'm talking about?) Maybe its longer than one hour at your house, but its an hour around here.

I found these products at TJ Maxx. I have heard of Myers, but never tried any. I decided to give em' a try. I really like em'. New cleaning products excite me! I remember when Mr. Clean came out with Apple! I thought I was in heaven!

Jason . . . a guy whom I think is completely clueless when it comes to a woman.

Clayton (my adorable son), McKinley (whom I think has inspired Clayton to want to go to school lately, hmmmm?), Collin (whom Clayton always tries to race at baseball when they have to run), Trey (whom I think looks like a mini-bachelor Jason, seriously), Tanner (whom I admire for not really caring what anyone thinks and doing his own thing) I could learn alot from a kid like that.

How you are perceived?

A good cook, full of kindness, a gossip, a good mom, a fast talker, trendy, hard to get to know, lazy, smart, funny, Godly, honest, respectful, tough, thoughtful, heartless, ruthless, vain, a pushover, back-stabber, tattle-tell, talented, organized, nice, not so nice, a servant, a good wife, trustworthy, a follower, a snob, a good leader, Christian, lost soul, picky, loving, judgemental, conceited, friendly, pushy, loud, overbearing, opinionated, helpful, dishonest, materialistic, humble, generous, timid, shy, or aggressive.

Even though I am a Christian, and I know all that matters is what God thinks of me. Amen. I still wonder and care about how I am perceived. I get upset with myself when I fall short of what I should be. I confess daily for being any of the above negative adjectives from time to time. I am in constant "training mode" to guard my thoughts and my mouth. . . and low and behold sometimes I lose it. I say a thought that I shouldve kept to myself. Where is my discipline? What am I thinking? The Bible says that I can do all things through Christ, and I am sure that means keeping my mouth shut too.

So friend, please don't give up on me. I really do mean well. I know I wont ever "arrive" until I go to Heaven, but I will strive everyday to be Christlike. I want to be a friend to all, and I know that isn't possible. I really don't think it is even Gods plan. I do know that we are to love one another. To love one another regardless of our differences. I want to be a source of encouragement for the bad days. I don't ever want to be the one who causes someone to feel hurt. Words hurt. I know. I have been on the receiving end . . . recently. And it hurts. Lord, help me to always be helpful and not hurtful.

Lord, help me to be a friend to anyone who needs one.

Lord, I want to be a breath of fresh air. A good listener. A kind spirit.

Thank you, my friend. Thank you for loving me despite my "human feelings".
