{FOOD, INC. GO WATCH}

Today was our first Saturday that wasn't filled with some sort of ball. I had a tad of work, but other than that I was completely freed.

The most important things I accomplished today:
  • Purchased containers for cookies that I am going to make for my neighbors, you know the one I have talked about, but have yet to see any action. I am now two steps closer. Cookie dough purchased last week from Sam's (um, I am now a Sam's card holder. . . I think I will make a full post about that later. Is that store the devil?)

  • Stared at Clayton. His face seems to be getting slimmer. Have you stopped to stare lately? You might be surprised what you see. . . you see alot more when you stare opposed to just looking as you drop off, pick up, fix dinner, etc.
  • Had "ART TIME" with the kids and neighbors kids. pics in next post.

  • Watched FOOD, INC. This will definitely get its very own post. This is just the sort of thing that gets me so fired up. Not only at the industry, government, but also myself. I FEEL so ignorant. Not having more of a clue about farming and farmers, I feel ashamed, as I should.

{ Mr.Giggs ~ Construction Time}

I told the kids to go jump on their beds, and I would be in to tuck them in. It was a bit by the time I took my contacts out. Time enough for this guy to become a construction worker.
Good Night, sweet boy.

{My day in a nutshell}

I had a good day. . .

  • Got up

  • Took kids to school

  • Came home and snoozed just a tad more

  • Got up, again

  • Pulled off an amazing pony tail lookin' thing without even brushing my hair

  • Went to work, I am looking into a scheduling software that could very well be as valuable as my toothbrush

  • Picked up kids
  • Came home and ate Chocolate Chip Cookies until I felt sick

  • Dinner with the folks

  • Devotion (old Baptist word ~ but still highly effective) with kids, Prayer

  • Bed time for them

  • Play time for me
The pictures are just some pretty things to enjoy. I love those green leafy wreaths.

{The Girlfriend Bear}

When Shaina and I went to OK City we both spied these bears! Instant LOVE. The lady only had one. Shaina took little one home, and I received my sweetie by FedEx yesterday. We deemed them our "Girl Friend Bears."
Welcome Home Miss G.F.B.

{Encouragement}

I have gotten some really special cards lately. . . I. Love . Cards.
Encouragement is such a wonderful gift. . . and it cost nothing.

{$2 Tooth Fairy}

I took a chance on waking her up, but a quick snap, and I stood still for a moment, noticed no movement, and crept back out. It was sweet to me because as I was tucking her in she kept checking under her pillow, putting her tooth right in the center, positioning it perfect for The Fairy. When she got it just right, she nestled her head in her pillow. Sweet girl.
Tooth Fairy did her typical $2 bill. Hey, it's not a million, but you don't see them everyday, so in my book that's pretty darn good.

A little late on this post. . .

{Rules ~ I need them}

Some good rules to follow.
1. Don't try to figure out God ~ he is way smarter, and probably considers it an insult.
2. When uncertain what to say ~ Keep your mouth shut.
3. Read God's Word. Pray.

I know God is working on me. I know he is working in my life. I know he is doing his best for me to "get it", but I just ain't "gettin' it". I find comfort in knowing he won't give up on me. He knows just how pea-brained I am. Thus, rule #1.

Yesterday some other humans upset me. In result I had alot of "human feelings". I still am not real happy about the situation. I am also not sure what I would say if I was confronted about it. Thus, rule #2.

After more work after 5, sports, dinner, put the kids to bed, tea with Mr. Hobbs, magazines, laundry, loaded some tunes on the i-pod, I ran some bath water. Armed with my Bible and my i-pod. I dove in. I turned to Psalms (you can't go wrong there), Proverbs (one of my favorites), and ended up in Ephesians. . . which went a little something like this: Chapter 4 Verse 26 ~ When you are angry, do not sin. And do not go on being angry all day. Do not give the devil a way to defeat you. . . verse 29 . . . When you talk, do not say harmful things. But say what people need-words that will help others become stronger. Honestly, it's the "do not go on being angry" that I am seriously going to struggle with. I am not sure what time I got out of the bath. I know this morning when I went in there and pulled the plug my water was still warm. Maybe that is why I am tired. I am pretty certain I stayed till the wee hours of the morning. . . But I feel better. I feel "in-check". Thus, rule #3.

{The Call}

Satan called this morning.
He said, "Tonia, I am going to give you Hell all week."

So, I'm here. Ready. Armed.

Armed with His Word. Hidden in my heart.

Ephesians 13-18 {The Message Bible}
Be prepared. You're up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it's all over but the shouting you'll be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You'll need them throughout your life. God's Word is an INDISPENSABLE weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers & sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other's spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.

P.S. What? You didn't hear your phone ring? Well, he called you too. If you are doing your best to live for God. . . he's after you. Be Strong. Stay grounded in His Word.
