{Safe at Home ~ HEROS ~ Party Time!}

Dog Mystery has been solved. Thank you Tracy for the phone call! She was the first one to notice the signs. . .and as I kept driving, signs everywhere!!
Dog is safe at her proper home, and I am dreading telling the kids. Although, this is a good teachable moment. . .
"If you lost something that meant alot to you, wouldn't you hope that someone would be kind enough to return it to you?"
I am going to do my best to make them feel like the HEROS they are!
Lots of partying just waiting to be done this weekend! Starting today with a bunch of precious little 2nd graders!
More Eye Candy for you from my OK City trip!
Talk Soon!

{Eye Candy}

{Old Witch Oil Painting}
Witches.
I have a thing for them.

{Garrison Ave}

I love the fall banners lining the street.

{I can explain. Really, I can}

Things are going great.
All is well.
Nothing out of the ordinary.
Business as usual.
And then. . .
BAM!!
Who and What is that creature lurking behind my son???
A mystery dog in our yard.
We've called neighbors all around.
We've called the vets.
We've looked in the paper.
We've checked for a police report.
Nope, Nothing, Not ta.
Soooo, in the meantime. . .
my kids are naming her.
Feeding her.
Fighting over who she will sleep with.
and.
Growing heavily attached. . .
What is a mom supposed to do?

{Sweet Art}

Lily had a little friend over.
I spied this sweet art.

{The DIY. . .that is no longer DIY}

Well, our little backyard "DIY Project" has managed to get a little
bigger than planned. . . I think.
I simply mulched.

and the Mr. has this going. . .with help.

Grill.
Counter tops.
Oh my.

"Happy Grilling" real soon.
To be cont'd. . . .

{Something Lily Said}

{Picture from Lily's Baptism}

I found Lily a dress yesterday at a re-sale shop.
I told her I might have it dry cleaned.

She said, "Yay, my first dry-clean-clo!"
It sounded really cute.

{1000th Post ~ I'm Back ~ Spooked}

Hello "Boos"!
How are you today?
I am back from my little trip, and I had hopes
of a little "blog give away", like all the big time bloggers do. . .
but I just didn't find that perfect
little something.
Don't worry. . . I always deliver. . . but. . .not today.
We (Me & S. Meeker) had good times (Seen Cora! I hope you had fun!).
This was our 2nd year to escape. . . literally. . . like a jail break-out.
No joke.
Have you ever been there?
Moms, you know what I mean.
The logistics of going anywhere
alone,
are more complicated than things that happen
at NASA.
Anyways, I was glad we made it!
I cant think of anything I would want to say more for my
1000th post other than what have done today. . .

{My Little Lily of the Valley}

Today at about the strike of 3:30 this pumpkin
with undergo a make-over from a very excited
little girl.
The assignment is to decorate a pumpkin into a story book character.
And she has chosen the precious little mouse named Chrysanthemum.
Chrysanthemum was embarrassed of her name, but when the music teachers name
turned out to be a "flower name" it made all things swell.
And as you can see after that. . .
all of her friends wanted flower names.
And Victoria wanted to be. . .
Lily of the Valley.
Ah, that is swell, for sure.

{Oh C'mon, That is so me!}

Today, I was reminded of why I blog. and.why.I.love.it.

So, here's to all you, "What is blogging?", "Never heard of it.", "I just dont have time to do stuff like that." Oh now, c'mon you know who you are. . . the haters.

I have been following Darby for awhile. She has one of those blogs where everything looks like a magazine. All bright and shiny. Sweet smelling. Perfect looking like ya' got your rose colored glasses on. . . but she is so real! and.today.her.post.made.me.laugh.out.loud.

I can sooooo relate to her "strong language". Oh now, c'mon dont judge me. Sometimes I feel like I have a constant news feed in my head saying "strong language".

And

Her texting mishaps!! Holy Cow. Texting for me has become like unplugging the iron, flushing the toilet, or putting down the garage door. Automatic. Like you do it, but have absolutely no recollection. You know your thumbs are just a' blaze, and then wonder, What did I just say??

Oh mercy! I needed a good laugh!

Love, Tonia

{Adults in Costumes}

Sweet Buddy must have had my camera at some point last week, I was
unaware, therefore I must have had a kajillion (yes, that is a number) things on my mind.
He appears to be rather relaxed so that is a good thing.

I have had a tough time this week.

Tough time at work.

Tough time with my health.

Tough time with my kids.
All of which I have had really no clue how to handle. . .

But I feel confident that I know the following to be true:

The most frightening thing about Halloween is adults. . . in adult costumes.
(Thank you facebook for all of these images I could've gone all my life without seeing)

I love fire-pits and all the wholesome goodness that comes from them.
(like smores)

Not exactly knowing how to help your kids is painful.
(torture, actually)

Looking forward to a fresh & new day.
Welcome Back Monday Morning.
See you Soon.

{The Silhouette of the man With his arms raised. . .}

I feel like that person this week. This song touched my heart, I wanted to share.

{Just one more. . .}

Cause thats what I do.

{Meet Mayhem}

Due to my violent cold, I have been watching ALOT of TV. This Mayhem guy. . . is hilarious! I nearly bust a gut just looking at him. I am seriously thinking about going Allstate.

Genius marketing deserves to be patronized.

{Around my Town}

I will be starting my week with a nasty cold, but this scene brings me
cheer. How.adorable.is.this.place???
So adorable.
You can go pick your family pumpkin to carve or put on your porch.
They will also be having stories and other activities in the Harper House.

I just think it is a lovely sight, and a wonderful idea for kids and families.

As the sun went down,
and evening came. . .

The porch lights came on. . . pitter patter.
