{more like HIM}

 She is one of the pastors of this church in Chicago.  I was able to meet Jeanne when I went to Atlanta.  She was an amazing speaker, and her love for the Lord oozes from her from her "soul".

  She served at a very large church before starting Soul City. . . and when I say large, I mean Willow Creek.  Mega Church.  She told a story about a lady she served with.  She said they could not get along.  .  .  "even if I was in Heaven with this lady, and God put us in this huge sand box to play. . .we would fight!"
One day she sat down with her pastor and he told her she needed to go back to school.
(after he separated the two of them in different ministries)
She thought, wow, alright, I can do that.
But.then.he.proceeded.to.tell.her.where that school.was.
THE SCHOOL OF CHARACTER.
(Behavior, Moral or ethical strength, A description of a person's attributes, traits, or abilities etc)

Although, at the time it was a very swift blow.
She looks back and thanks God for his honesty and leadership.

Today I am thankful for the Godly leadership and mentors in my life.
I have been in that chair across from my pastor.
and.he.is.honest.and.full.of.integrity.
and
sometimes it hurts. . .but I am thankful.
God uses people that rub you like sandpaper to mold you and make you.
more like HIM.

{Around my Town}

Leaving my old bank (the one with a barn out back) and
switching to Arvest, I believe will go down in
history as one of my "Top 5 Best Decisions I Ever Made".
I even adore the "spoon pens" BJ Lensing makes. They have a CrAzY FaCE that screams "Dont take ME!"
I love my bank.

{Part 1: The Right Person Myth ~ Love will keep us alive. lol!}

Finding the Right Person
Vs.
Becoming the Right Person

Are you who the person you are looking for is looking for?

How did you like his statement about Chemistry?

P.S. This picture has nothing to do with my Andy Stanley stint, but
it kinda' reminds me of Part 2 "Gentlemen's Club".

If you still haven't listened go here.
If you have, what do you think?

{Rockin Robbins}

My & My Buddy had to take a little
trip to Booneville.  We discovered a little sandwich shop next
to The Gathering Place.
Together we enjoyed some chicken salad and
some lovely orange dreamsicle cake.
It was yuuummmyyy!

Sweet little place.
Sweet little day.

{Deception is insidious}

Deception is insidious.  Satan, the author of evil, the father of lies, is the master of deception.
He weaves his crooked lies to confuse, distort, and ultimately deceive and destroy.  His greatest
weapon is our rationalization.  When we depend on our own consciences or even the traditions of the
church unchecked by the Word of God, we stand precariously on the precipice of delusion.  Rationalization is the easiest form of self-delusion.  Through it we turn from the absolute standard of God's Word that provides an unfaltering foundation for our feet and turn to the limited insights and wisdom of human experience and knowledge.

Before making small, seemingly insignificant choices that could later lead down paths of misery and regret, remember to hold the truth of God's character and Word.   By this we can make choices consistent with our love for Him and be spared the heartache of sin's inevitable consequences.

Just a little snippet from a book I am reading. . .Talk Later.

{Just thought I would pass it along to my Christian friends. . . }

Are you doubting you can do something?

Are you confused?

Are you overwhelmed?

I reminded myself of this today, and I wanted to remind you too.

The same power that raised Jesus from the dead, lives in me (& you).

If someone tells you "They can't" remind them that "They can".

{People talking just to hear their own Voice}

When I was in Atlanta we heard NEEDTOBREATHE.
(I was joking with Jacque, Lori, and Jasmine that he is like a Christian Kid Rock. . . Love him!)
Today I was thinking about their song Washed By The Water.
 (I tried to share from YouTube. . . but no luck)

This song is about his father.
Obviously a very hard and hurtful time in his life.
Rumors. about his dad.
"People started talking just to hear their own voice". . .
Later, he said it surfaced that they were not true.
He said his father remained amazingly dignified and faithful to Lord.
Great Story.
Great Song.
Great testimony.
